How to work with PERI TRIO TSE inserts: formwork stripping

The TSE insert is a component that significantly facilitates formwork stripping when the internal formwork becomes jammed after concrete placement. Thanks to its adjustable width, the insert allows the structure to be quickly released while preserving the geometry of the formwork panels without damage.

Let’s examine how TSE inserts work and the sequence of steps involved in their use, using the example of internal formwork for a 1900 x 1900 mm shaft that is 1200 mm high.

How the TSE module works

The insert has two operating positions:

  1. Concrete placement position — width 10 cm (insert secured in the working position).
  2. Position for formwork stripping — width approximately 5 cm (the insert is folded inward, creating an opening to release the formwork).

The position is changed using a lever or a crane hook.

Step 1. Preparing the formwork set

  1. When assembling the inner part of the shaft, install one TSE insert on each side.
  2. For example, let’s take four identical “cards” for each wall:
  • angle
  • 60 cm shield
  • TSE insert
  • 60 cm shield

3. Assemble the panels in a horizontal position and use a crane to place them in their final position.

Step 2. Formwork assembly

  1. Install the four assembled panels to form the inner perimeter of the shaft.
  2. We are erecting a "mock" concrete wall made of formwork panels around the interior for demonstration purposes.

Step 3. Preparing for removal

Before erecting the interior formwork, you must:

  1. We hook the sling onto the crane.
  2. We remove the ties.
  3. Turn the insertion lever or use a crane hook to move it into the removal position. This will create a gap and separate the panels from the concrete.
