Slab formwork
Slab formwork, or horizontal formwork, consists of shoring props and a horizontal formwork deck. At Budhab, you can choose the most efficient formwork systems, which easily adapt to the slab’s geometry and provide the necessary load-bearing capacity.
What is slab formwork?
Horizontal formwork is a temporary structure that essentially serves as a mold for pouring concrete. A horizontal formwork system consists of formwork beams, formwork props, tripods, and forkheads.
Using horizontal formwork, you can create floor slabs of any configuration—rectangular, cantilevered, or even circular.
The formwork assembly begins with setting up the formwork props. To do this, the props are first adjusted to the required height using special locking hooks. Next, forkheads and prop heads are inserted into the props to secure the beams.
Next, set up the tripods for the slab formwork props, insert the props into the tripods, and secure them using the clamping lever.

Next, the primary formwork beams are laid out and aligned to the height of the floor slab. After that, the cross beams are laid out and the intermediate formwork props are installed.
Film faced plywood is laid across the crossbeams, and the side panels are installed.

Should I buy or rent slab formwork?
You can purchase or rent both complete slab formwork sets and individual system components from us: beams, props, forkheads, and tripods. Whether it’s better to buy or rent slab formwork depends on your experience and needs.
It’s usually a good idea to buy formwork if you already have several years of experience in the industry, are constantly involved in construction projects, and are confident that the slab formwork will be in constant use for years to come.
In this case, you also need to keep in mind that you must have your own warehouse for storing slab formwork and arrange for formwork cleaning, repair, and transportation between job sites on your own.
Renting slab formwork is a more convenient option if your priority is to invest in your core business.
Renting formwork is also more convenient if you don’t plan to allocate your employees’ time to finding transport providers, equipment repair in case of damage, and formwork cleaning, or if you don’t plan to set aside a separate area for storage.
